Vintage Crochet Baby Blanket

Vintage Crochet Baby Blanket

So I have been dying to show this off...
I love love it...
and am soooo proud of it.
I finished it a month ago as a gift for my sister-in-law Annes new baby,
Hazel Rory Alme McDonald = sooooo cute!

I have been really into vintage crochet lately.
Really.
I had a specific blanket in mind that I wanted to make.
I internet searched for days,
and couldn't find a pattern even close to what I wanted.
sooo..
I made one up, which is a first for me,
and it turned out perfect,
and I'm almost done with a pattern,
and it will be up on etsy soon.

 Front

Back

I think I love the back more then the front,
the flowers look like little cupcakes.

Remember Virgina Wood would crochet baby blankets for all the new babies...is this your new calling? You know though, that your fist baby blanket from her was pink and white and it was crocheted..but not like this..this is like 10 times thicker and just so yummy looking!!
