Sewing Projects
Here are my latest projects,
I actually finished them a while ago,
and have been patiently waiting for a good day to take pictures.
This one is my fav,
the Alexander Blouse from Burda Style,
(with one of the belts I made)
It was sooo fun too make,
and I love the buttons that run down the back!
I have been loving Burda Style lately,
they have the cutest, most unique patterns,
but... you have to download them,
which isn't that fun when a pattern is
a 30 page puzzle you have to tape together,
then cut out piece by piece,
but they are sooo cheap, (3.00$ cheap)
and soooo cute, I think it balances out.
Here is the black ruffle skirt I finally finished.
From this sketch, remember?
I modified susan's pattern (which is soooo cute and easy)
I dont love it.
It bubbles up too much at the top,
and I can't decide where or what I would wear it with.
I thought it was a cute idea though,
maybe when I get all the kinks worked out.
My next project...
these pants

ReplyDeleteamazing. I LOVE Burdastyle too, and am recently re-discovering it. I love the Alexander Blouse--I was totally admiring it a few days ago. so, yeah. i just made the jenny skirt with suspenders. I ended up returning the other skirt patterns, and going with that one. Do I feel like I complete copycat and a little lame for wanting to make everything you make? Yep. But you're brilliant!
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe you sewed those. They are all SO beautiful! And I think the ruffle skirt is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through BurdaStyle and love all of the clothes you've sewn!
ReplyDeleteJulie! The skirt turned out sooooo good! I am seriously in love with all of your sewing projects!
ReplyDeleteYou never seem to stop amazing me at your talents... Love them... And the ruffle on the skirt, looks like it took you weeks to do... But I know you probably did it in less than a day...

Those skirts are pretty comfortable and i like the colors, I'm not a lover of stuff like this and less of balls in the cloths, but it looks nice.
