Sewing Projects

Sewing Projects
Here are my latest projects,
I actually finished them a while ago,
and have been patiently waiting for a good day to take pictures.

This one is my fav,
the Alexander Blouse from Burda Style,

(with one of the belts I made)

It was sooo fun too make,
and I love the buttons that run down the back!

I have been loving Burda Style lately,
they have the cutest, most unique patterns,
but... you have to download them,
which isn't that fun when a pattern is
a 30 page puzzle you have to tape together,
then cut out piece by piece,
but they are sooo cheap, (3.00$ cheap)
and soooo cute, I think it balances out.

Here is the black ruffle skirt I finally finished.

From this sketch, remember?
I modified susan's pattern (which is soooo cute and easy)

I dont love it.
It bubbles up too much at the top,
and I can't decide where or what I would wear it with.
I thought it was a cute idea though,
maybe when I get all the kinks worked out.

My next project...
these pants

  2. amazing. I LOVE Burdastyle too, and am recently re-discovering it. I love the Alexander Blouse--I was totally admiring it a few days ago. so, yeah. i just made the jenny skirt with suspenders. I ended up returning the other skirt patterns, and going with that one. Do I feel like I complete copycat and a little lame for wanting to make everything you make? Yep. But you're brilliant!

  9. Those skirts are pretty comfortable and i like the colors, I'm not a lover of stuff like this and less of balls in the cloths, but it looks nice.
